Oumar Niasse latest striker chased by Everton
It’s believed that Everton have made an approach for Lokomotiv Moscow forward Oumar Niasse ahead of Monday night’s transfer window.
Roberto Martinez is keen to complete the £13.5m deal before the transfer window closes.
Whilst Everton enjoyed a comfortable win against Carlisle in the FA Cup but Martinez wants more attacking options after selling Steven Naismith to Premier League rivals Norwich and with Aiden McGeady expected to join Sheffield Wednesday on loan.
The Toffees had targeted Dynamo Kiev’s impressive forward Andriy Yarmolenko but after getting frustrated in the search they have moved on.
Niasse, who comes from Senegal, has scored 12 goals in 21 games for Lokomotiv Moscow this season.
Previously Sunderland were understood to have been after the Senegal international but at that time Lokomotiv wanted more than £15million.
Everton want to spend around £13m but one thing in their favour is that his wife is based in Manchester.
Niasse, 25, joined Locomotiv from Akhisar Belediyespor for £4million and has been monitored by scouts from Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.
